TOP 100 WEBSITES FOR WOMEN
The best of the Web for working women

No one can succeed on her own. Even the savviest women need help along the way. To that end, with the help of the ForbesWoman community, we’ve searched the Web for the most dynamic, inspiring and helpful websites for women. We’re delighted to present this list of ForbesWoman’s Top 100 Websites for Women.

To determine which sites and blogs made the cut we looked for compelling and decidedly female-oriented content, outstanding design, an active community and frequent updates. In short, sheer clickyness.

The Webby Awards today released their list of 2009 nominees and honorees, and we’re proud that three DECA properties received nods.

Momversation is nominated in the Family/Parenting websites category, and Smosh is an Official Honoree in the Experimental online video category.

Boing Boing TV picked up nominations in Online Video for Best Reality/Variety Host, Variety, and Technology, as well as being named an Official Honoree in Experimental online video.

Congratulations to all the properties honored and to everyone at DECA. These nominations and honors are a testament to the vision and hard work of everyone who has contributed to Momversation, Smosh, and Boing Boing TV.

Momversation and Boing Boing TV are also up for the People’s Voice award in each of their nominated categories. Voting ends April 30, so please take a moment to support them by casting your vote!

Project Lore Host Alex Albrecht Wins Streamy Award

This weekend, Alex Albrecht won the Streamy Award for Best Web Series Host for his work on Project Lore. This is a great accomplishment for Alex, the entire Project Lore team, and DECA. Congratulations to Alex on the win, and thanks and congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard to make Project Lore a great web property, especially General Manager Kory Klem, show editor Charles Ottaway, and site editor Brandon Sato.

Last but not least, thank you to the Streamys for putting on a great inaugural event and recognizing Alex and Project Lore. If you missed the ceremony on Saturday night, read about all the winners at Tubefilter and see the photos at Flickr.

Congratulations to the two DECA properties that are being honored with Streamy Award nominations: Boing Boing TV and Project Lore are both up for “Best Hosted Web Series,” and Xeni Jardin and Alex Albrecht have each been nominated for “Best Web Series Host.”

The Project Lore team has also been nominated for the Streamys Audience Choice Award and is one of ten contenders that represent the most-nominated web series overall. As you might have guessed, the Audience Choice winner will be determined by audience votes. So please support Project Lore by voting for them once a day through March 28.

See you at the Streamys!
